People & Communication
Messaging
Doughy's messaging system brings all your text-based communication into one place.
Unified Inbox
The inbox shows conversations across all channels:
•SMS — your Doughy number; text messaging rolls out with early access
•Email — messages from your connected email account; incoming mail arrives in the thread with early access
•Broadcasts — bulk messages you've sent to contact groups
Each conversation is threaded by contact, so you see the full history regardless of which channel was used.
Conversation Threads
Tap any conversation to see:
•Full message history — every message in chronological order
•Channel indicators — icons showing whether each message was SMS, email, or broadcast
•AI drafts — messages your agents have prepared (marked with a badge)
•Read receipts — when available for the channel
Composing Messages
The composer supports:
•Direct messages — type a message and send to one contact
•Templates — select from saved templates and customize before sending
•AI assistance — tap the AI button to have an agent draft a message based on context
•Attachments — add photos, documents, or files
•Scheduling — set a future send time instead of sending immediately
Broadcasts
Send the same message to multiple contacts:
1.Tap New Broadcast in the messaging screen
2.Select recipients by tag, temperature, or manual selection
3.Write your message (or use an AI draft)
4.Preview how it will look
5.Send immediately or schedule for later
Outbound sending is in live testing and rolls out with early access — you can build and preview broadcasts today so they're ready to go. Broadcasts respect opt-out preferences: contacts who have unsubscribed are automatically excluded, and consent is tracked per contact.
Agent Messages
Your agents draft replies right in the thread, and outbound sending is in live testing — it rolls out with early access. When agent messages go out on your behalf:
•They're marked with an "AI" badge in the thread
•The full text is logged in your conversation history
•You can see which agent wrote it and why
•Responses from contacts flow into the same thread
A drafted reply waits in the conversation with Send, Edit, and Dismiss — and if it goes stale before you get to it, it quietly expires rather than sending late.
